We couldn’t be more pleased with the work the team at Lady Baltimore Floors did for us. We needed to refinish the floors in our new home. While the floors were in decent shape, they needed help, and there were a few areas that we thought might be beyond repair and would need replacing. LBF handled the job quickly (well under the estimated time) and beautifully. They were even able to refinish the damaged boards we thought were a loss. We were amazed when we first saw the floors; they exceeded expectations. I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge how great the entire team was, from Tim (the owner) who visited us for the initial consultation; to Trey and Barb, who worked with us on the contract and scheduling; to the crew who enthusiastically refinished our floors; and to Zach, who helped fix a couple floor boards several weeks later. There are other companies in the Baltimore area that might get more press and acclaim, but in my opinion LBF is the best around and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Fair pricing, five-star service, and amazing results!

Fantastic job on refinishing of our hardwood floors. The staff was very professional and refinishers were top notch. Would definitely recommend them.

Initially I had planned for solid hardwood but it was recommended that I use engineered floors for my application. The floor looks fantastic!!! I was a little unsure of engineered wood and of the color I choose, but the wide boards and color look amazing! The crew were super to work with and my job certainly had everyone thinking “outside the box”. The house is 200+ yrs old and was butchered prior to our purchase. The original floors resembled a roller coaster! The plan was to patch in plywood where necessary, to level out subfloor, but it proved impossible. So 80% of old floor was pulled up and new subfloor installed. I know my project was tricky, to say the least, and put the job over schedule. But everyone on the team were so patient, considerate, very fair on price adjustment and super hard working to not leave me over the weekend with no floors at all. A truly professional, caring team that I highly recommend.

I was very impressed with LBF from the very beginning of our interaction, to the completion of the project. Everyone I was in contact were excellent with communication, very knowledgeable, professional, and really seems invested in a quality result. I got various quotes from flooring companies and while LBF was not the least expensive, they also weren't the most expensive and I am certain the work, craftsmanship and product were all worth the cost. We had an excellent experience with this company - to me, they seem quite passionate about their work. Staff was patient and responsive, and made suggestions that kept this project within budget. On day 1, installer was very patient with color selection - we eventually used a custom mixed stain which we were very happy with. I was notified each day afterwards when someone would come to add the next coat of poly (we went with the oil).

Call them for flooring!!!!!! Best company to work with!!!!!. I did delux vinyl downstairs because of my dog. Everyone thinks it is hardwood. I did all my upstairs and stairs in hardwood . Steps are not those layovers. It is solid. They were recommended by a friend. I would never use anyone else!!!!! Johnny was the best!!! They are very tidy and careful. I was still in the house and only left bulky furniture and they took care of it all. Shout outs to Zach and Trey too!!!! Even all the delivery people were awesome. Price was very very reasonable!!!!!!

A friend referred me to Lady Baltimore Floors when I was inquiring about getting my staircase changed from carpet to hardwood. It is an old historic house with a curving staircase.

The person who came and did the quote was polite, straight forward, and efficient.

I received quotes immediately and booked my project which started at my convivence.

The person who did the stairs let us know it could take two days since our stairs are so unique. He was very considerate of my cats, knowledgeable, and friendly. There were a few hiccups due to the original trim sticking out too far for the installation, but he took care of it.

Everything was done timely, efficiently, with little hassle and turned out great.

We had our hardwood floors refinished and a section replaced. They did a fantastic job. The floors are beautiful! They were able to get the job started very quickly and finished before schedule. Their customer service is great and took care of everything we asked for.

We had them redo our stairs after we removed the chair lift we had for my wife's mother. All I can say is looks better than it did when they were originally done years ago by a large nationwide company. We also did my office which was carpet, but ajoined the hallway which was hardwood installed by the same nationwide company. Well it's night and day on how Lady Baltimore Floors installed the new maple floor. They're professional, they didn't cut corners like the other guy and they're my go to company for our next project.

During the repair process they found additional termite damage, We had the structural damage repaired, they gave us an updated estimate for the added floor replacement which was very reasonable. Great service from start to finish. Had them give me estimate to install hardwood floors in 2 rooms. The house is old one room had multiple players of vinyl tiling and the other had carpeting. Lady Baltimore refinished the foyer and hallway floor in my 24 year old home. The floor was very worn and scratched up. I thought Matt and the team did a great job on our flooring. My guests could not stop raving about how great they look and how it makes the house look brand new. Starting with the ladies in the office who provided all the information to get us underway and keep us informed. From Erin’s help with getting the contract in order and executed to Eileen’s organizing the work schedule and providing us with daily reminders and conformations, their assistance was well beyond the normal.



Now to the superstars of the project, Brian and Jimmy did an absolutely fantastic job sanding and staining our floors. When they first arrived and started installing plastic dust barriers in the doorways between rooms to contain the sanding dust, we knew we were in good hands. They took time to explain the operation prior to starting work and put to rest any anxieties that we may have had. Upon completion of work each day they vacuumed and cleaned up and removed all the dust collection bags from the house. When the staining procedure was complete, they stood back and gazed at their own work. The expression of pride and ownership of the work was beaming on their faces.



The following day Matt arrived to place the first coat of polyurethane. He also took time to explain his part of the project. Matt arrived the next two days as scheduled to place the second and third coats of polyurethane. On the fourth day Matt installed the shoe molding in all the rooms involved. Again, another great job.



Tim, we thank you and your company for providing us with an outstanding job. The end result far exceeds our expectations. When family and friends visit us and comment on how wonderful the floors look it gives us great pleasure and we are quick to announce the work was done by Lady Baltimore Floors.

I first used Lady Baltimore for an installation in Baltimore about 15-20 years ago. I was pleased with the work then and I am pleased with the work currently done at my home. I'm sure you know that refinishing floors is often a difficult task for the home owner. From moving furniture to covering cabinets to worries about the colors and final product. I personally needed to change the color of the stain after choosing one with your technician Zack. I was thankful Zack retained the records of all the stains we tested and that Eileen was there to assure me that everything would be ok. Tim, I believe you actually did the work at my first home. There seemed to be a bit of a misunderstanding on getting a piece of quarterround finished. I really don't know if it was my misunderstanding or a miscommunication. The ultimate result was the company ended up going above and beyond to not only get the job done right, but make sure we were taken care of. We have had some HORRIBLE experience with contractors, but based on this work we wouldn't use or recommend anyone other than Lady Baltimore Floors. I just can't say how good of an experience it was and how good of a job that was done. We are just thrilled with it. Thank you very much for everything.

I was especially pleased to receive the email update each day on the plans and next steps for the job status. This avoided any confusion, enhanced my comfort index, and made the whole project go more smoothly. Your personnel were extremely professional and caring with me as a customer, especially given that the house was vacant and you used a lock box I had installed to come and go at your leisure. Although not the lowest cost quote, I am pleased that I paid a bit more and got what I consider a superior end result. Some clean-up upon completion could have been done a bit better from what I found. I will definitely consider using you, and recommending your firm to others in the future.

Tim DiPaula, the President Lady Baltimore, came to provide the estimate. Tim was very pleasant and explained the work in full detail. I had received other estimates and LB was by far the most professional. Tim provided a glossy folder that included information sheets on each step of the process and even included a copy of the company's insurance policy.



I was originally going to have a "satin" finish but after speaking with Eileen in the office she convinced me that the semi-gloss would look nicer. I'm so glad I listened to her advice!



We scheduled the work for several weeks later since we would need to move out of the house for about 4-5 days. Zack and Jacob arrived on time and showed me how the stripping machine worked. They took the time to mix several different stain colors to get the exact color (gunstock) I wanted. I gave them a key to the house and they explained they would put a lock box on the front door since it would be a different crew who would be there the next few days to put on the polyurethane finish.



Each day I received an email from Eileen stating the work had been completed and the schedule for the next day.

Kevin was a very hard worker, taking no tea breaks and arriving on time both mornings. I liked it that when he finished work on the first day, he left our kitchen in as clean and neat a condition as he could considering it was half done. I appreciate his help with tipping up my kitchen table, enabling me to change the feet to soft ones. The new wood is a pretty good match with the existing hall flooring so the advice you gave was good. Thank you for a job well done.

Most of my communication was with Eileen and she provided prompt responses and excellent follow up. I was out of town during the week my floors were refinished. My floors were finished by the time I returned.

WOW! We are blown away at how good our hardwood floor project turned out! The new hardwood floor installed in the kitchen/dinette/hall/foyer and the 3 existing hardwood rooms (that were refinished) match perfectly. The new hardwood was a great choice to replace our old vinyl. The previous finish of our existing hardwood was hiding its real beauty.
